Royal Family Finger Puppets

What You Need:

Funky Foam - assorted colours
Felt - assorted colours
Chenille stems
Pom-poms
Sequins
Wobbly eyes
Tacky glue or glue gun
Scissors
Pencil
Masking tape
Marker pens -red and blue

QUEEN

Draw around the Queen's body from Template A and cut out from pink foam

Roll the body into a cone shape, gluing the flap to the underside.

Draw around the Queen's dress from Template A and cut out from white felt. Glue to the body leaving half an inch at the top for the neck to show. Decorate the dress with sequins.

Draw around two hand shapes from Template B and cut out of white foam. Glue to the side of the dress.

Draw around the Queen's robe from Template A and cut out from blue felt. Glue to the back of the body and decorate with red and white pom-poms.

Glue a large pink pom-pom onto the top of the body. Glue on two wobbly eyes and a pom-pom for the nose.

Draw around the Queen's crown from Template B and cut out of yellow foam. Glue the ends together and finally glue to the top of the head.

Glue small black pom-poms around the base of the crown to make the hair.

Decorate the crown with sequins to make the jewels.

KING

Draw around the King's body from Template A and cut out from blue foam.

Roll the body into a cone shape, gluing the flap to the underside.

Draw around two hand shapes from Template B and cut out of white foam. Glue to the side of the body.

Cut out a strip of black foam to make the belt and a piece of yellow foam for the buckle and glue to body about half way down.

Draw around the King's robe from Template A and cut out from red felt.

Bend a white chenille stem into shape and glue down both sides and around the bottom of the robe. Glue the robe to the body at the top of your cone shape.

Glue two small black pom-poms to the centre of the body at the bottom to make his shoes and four tiny white pom-poms down the front for buttons.

Glue a large pink pom-pom onto the top of the body. Glue on two wobbly eyes and a tiny red pom-pom for the nose.

Draw around the King's crown from Template B and cut out of yellow foam. Glue the ends together and finally glue to the top of the head.

Decorate the crown with sequins to make the jewels.

JESTER

Draw around the Jester's body from Template A and cut out from white foam.

Roll the body into a cone shape, gluing the flap to the underside.

Glue a blue chenille stem to the bottom edge of the body and then glue on a circle of sequins just above the chenille stem.

Draw around two hand shapes from Template B and cut out of white foam. Glue to the side of the body.

Draw around the Jester's collar from Template A and cut out from red felt. Cut out the centre circle and fit collar over the top of the body about half and inch from the top. Decorate each point with a small white pom-pom. Glue sequins onto the neck.

Glue a large pink pom-pom onto the top of the body. Glue on two wobbly eyes and a tiny red pom-pom for the nose.

Draw around the Jester's hat from Template B and cut out from blue felt. Stiffen the bottom of the hat with a narrow strip of blue foam by gluing the foam to the inside of the bottom of the hat. Stick the hat on top of the head. Decorate each point of the hat with a small red pom-pom.

CORGI

Cut out the Corgi's body (see Template B) from light brown foam. Overlap and glue the two flaps together under the belly to create a 3-D shape, which will stand on its own.

Place glue on the reverse of the face in between the ears. Bend at indicated lines gluing the face into position.

Cut out the bone (see Template B) from white foam and glue to underside of face.

Glue two wobbly eyes and a small black pom-pom for the nose onto the face.

Draw around the Corgi's coat from Template A and cut from white foam. With red and blue marker pens, draw the design for the Union Jack. Glue coat on top of the body.
